Helpers from the realm of the Spirits of Nature.

Gnomes

Gnomes work from sunset to sunrise, which is a very long time in the winter time. As their work is largely unnoticed, because of our limited perception (and the dark), they are anxious that you know what their jobs entail.

Number one on the list is energy work. Gnomes rework the energy that gets misplaced when your visitors aren't respectful of the space. They lift anything that is inappropriate to its next highest level of evolution.

In January, they like to houseclean the yard. This means cleaning and fluffing up all the energy that hasn't been doing much for a few of months, much like you would clean and fluff the eiderdowns on your bed.

The gnomes are highly capable beings in that they can protect all the tender buds and bulbs from an unprotected frost, or two or oodles. They do this with the Diva of the Garden and a few other helpers as it's such a big job. You know that God only made one of every human, flower, tree, stone or microbe. Each specimen of each species is unique. How's that for diversity? How's that for a lot of different needs to handle.

Gnomes guard entrances. They are capable of ameliorating and keeping out negative energies that are harmful to the balance. Aside from the entrances to your garden and home, they look after the entrances to portals and energy spots.

If we listen carefully, the gnomes have many messages for us at the change of the seasons. They love parties, and they invited themselves to the Winter Solstice party this year, bringing their brand of fun to our table. It went a bit flat as the guests weren't used to gnome vibration, or humour for that matter. Here's how it went.

First there was a container filled with water. The message was to remind us that the gnomes are responsible for keeping the water in the ponds. They have been working overtime here because the pond was brand new last year and still subject to leaks.

A bouquet took form as I walked around the garden and picked one of everything that was in bloom on December 21. What an amazing array! Indian plum and winter jasmine were just budding out, while pinks, calendula, vibernum and chrysanthemums were hanging on from the summer. Newly out were the white primula and purple violets. Amazingly a new crop of Johnny-jump-ups were blooming and they graced the whipped cream on our desserts. The pussy willows wanted to come in too, to tell us that spring will be earlier than we think this year.

I trust that the early budding plants and bulbs that are up through the ground a couple of inches know what they are doing. A severe nip in January or February could damage them severely. I know the gnomes work hard at protecting the delicates from the frost, but that might be a tremendously huge job. Let's pray snow first to protect everything. Did I say that?

Here the gnomes live under ferns. When I planted the new gardens last year, we put sword ferns in all the strategic energy spots so the gnomes had a place to work. They really prefer Jack-in-the-pulpits which we have, but these are reserved for energy replenishing and gnome rituals.

The gnomes tell me they help the birds carry the holly berries all over the land and deposit them wherever holly energy is necessary. That's why we have so many holly bushes here in odd places. The gnomes are responsible for us having bushes with berries on them.

Yesterday I put out a solstice gift on the porch. The white candle that will burn in it is a signal to the gnomes living in the flower bed near the steps that we are at-one with the Light.

The gnomes work closely with other elementals so they know to the second when hail or snow or frost is expected. The elementals also know exactly how much pressure they can put on the garden. Everything but the weakest will survive. This will be evident in gardens where there is communion and co-creation with the All-That-Is.

Fairies

The fairy energy is very light and vibrant. It really does flit around. It is happy and joyous and simple. There are thousands upon thousands happily fulfilling their destiny here.

Once a little girl decided to take some fairies from here to her father's property. They were to live in a protected forest above a protected creek. The fairies, along with this little girl's intent, are trying to hold the Light for the negativity they are experiencing there. That is one of the things the fairies do.

It is much easier to share my community of fairies if I know that they are holding the Light on our behalf. Can't you just picture all the little fairies that it takes to hold an elevator door open?
